ABSTRACT TREAT FOR CITY ART LOVERS:-

Lucknowites are in for a colourful ‘abstract’ treat as artist Ankita Singh is showcasing her paintings at the Florence Art Gallery in the city. The exhibition is titled ‘The Waves of Mind’.

Singh, who completed her Masters’s in Fine Arts from Indira Kala Sangeet University about a decade ago, said, “I always knew that I’d take my passion forward. I’ve been a part of over 15 group exhibitions and three solos. I also have a chance to show my work to a global audience at a group exhibition in China. This exhibition (in Lucknow) is all about my love for nature and is acrylic on canvas. It took years of hard work before I got a chance to showcase 70 of my finest works here.”

The exhibition was inaugurated by the vice-chancellor of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Prof. Mandvi Singh praised Ankita Singh’s art. “Lucknow has been a seat of art and creativity. Such exhibitions bring contemporary colour to the horizon,” she said.

Also present at the exhibition was Rashmi Vaid as a guest of honour along with IG Police Ratan S Katiya, SN Singh, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, Ajaish Jaiswal, Neha Singh, and others.

Singh adds, “The exhibition is a tribute to the transformational power of art, and to my surprise, it is enthralling Lucknowites. My effort from now on is to showcase my work in the country as well as abroad.”

The expo is being managed by Rakesh K Maurya, curated by Rajesh Kumar, and supported by gallery founder Neha Singh informed the artist.

The event will go on till May 31 at the 5-star hotel The Centrum.

‘Waves of Mind’ of city-based artists on display, draws the crowd:-

Fifty artworks of city-based artist Ankita Singh were put on display at an art exhibition ‘Waves of Mind’ that began at a private 5-star hotel The Centrum Hotel on Wednesday.

Inaugurated by Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Vice-Chancellor Mandvi Singh, the exhibition is organised by Florescence Art Gallery.

Curated by Rajesh Singh, the exhibition will remain open from 11 am to 8 pm daily till May 31.

While describing her artworks, made in acrylic colors on canvas and paper in abstract form, Singh said she depicts her ideas about nature in the paintings.

Former principal of Lucknow Arts College Jaikrishna Agrawal, Inspector General of Police Ratna Sanjay Katiyar, artist Manoj Kumar Hansraj and historian Ravi Bhatt were also present.

The month of ‘Jeth’ as it is called in the Hindi calendar, is considered a very auspicious month, as each Tuesday of this month is celebrated as ‘Bada Mangal’ which is a very important festival of Lucknow city. Come this month, and the name Bajrang Bali starts echoing everywhere in the city.

On each Tuesday of this month, people visit the temple and offer their prayers and prasad to Lord Hanuman. On this occasion, Bhandaras (mass feasts) are organized at various places in the city of Lucknow, where people come and take prasad.

On this auspicious occasion, lakhs of people eat food in these Bhandaras and quench their hunger. Organizing a ‘Bhandara’ on Bade Mangal is considered very virtuous work. Today, May 16, 2023, on the second Bada Mangal of Jeth month, a grand Bhandara was organized by the 5-Star Hotel ‘The Centrum’ at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. Thousands of people took prasad on this occasion, especially the enthusiasm of small children was worth watching. The staff of GD Goenka School and 5-Star Hotel The Centrum served in the Bhandara and distributed Prasad to the people. Starting in the afternoon, the Bhandara went on till the evening. Filled with the spirit of devotion and service, the Bhandara was very successful.

This was stated by Dr. Ram Shankar, Director, CBSE, Training, Chief Guest at the workshop on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) organized by CBSE Lucknow Sahodaya School Complex. Issues such as following the rules of the new education policy were discussed in the event held at a private 5-star hotel The Centrum in Sushant Golf City. Principals of 180 schools in the city participated in it.

Dr. Ram Shankar spoke on aspects of NEP such as flexibility, blended learning, gross enrollment ratio, high order, etc. The students were also told about the importance of communication and professional skills along with academic, social, and emotional competence. MSME will Give a Big Expansion:-

MSME will give a big expansion to its product abroad. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state are taking their products from local to global. It will get more detail in the future. For this, International MSME Business Conclave was organized by Indian Industries Association (IIA) to explore investment possibilities. , ambassadors and diplomats from 19 countries also showed interest in the MSMEs here. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna also said that Uttar Pradesh is a good place for investment in the whole world, stating that there is a better opportunity for investment in the state.

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, the chief guest at the conference, which will run till March 25 and 26 at Hotel Centrum, said that the perception of the country has changed in eight years and the state in six years. To promote the industry, the government has implemented a new industrial policy. Today UP ranks second in Ease of Doing Business. With better connectivity, and law and order, UP is the first choice of investors. Soon Jhansi-Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority is going to start. There are 96 lakh MSMEs working in the state. One District One Product is also getting appreciation in foreign countries. ACM of MSME Amit Mohan described small, medium, and micro industries as the backbone of the economy. Ashok Aggarwal, National President of IIA said that export possibilities are being explored for the products of MSMEs from this conference. Through this, the possibilities of each other’s import-export are being seen. Soon a task force will be formed and further business-to-business meetings will be held. The possibilities of export, technology transfer, and investment were also explored for the entrepreneurs in the programme. The conference was addressed by IIA Senior Vice President Neeraj Singhal, General Secretary Dinesh Goel, Treasurer Alok Aggarwal, etc.

IIA officials said that MSMEs want to take their products outside the Indian market. Transformers, cables, agricultural machinery, pharma, etc. are in demand abroad in the state. MSMEs currently have 1.8 percent of business abroad, the target is to increase it to three to four percent in two to three years. There are about 63.4 million MSMEs in the country. In this, manufacturing contributes 6.11 percent to GDP and services contribute 24.63 percent to GDP.
