The preparations for the proposed Lucknow Run Half Marathon on November 6 have gained momentum. A promo run was organized at the Kukrail picnic spot on Saturday. Mr. Sarvesh Goel, promoter of the organizer The Centrum and chairman of Mansingh Goel Group, said that during the promo run, a large number of common people tested their preparations by being present. As far as the Lucknow run is concerned, the fourth edition of the event, which will be held at number 6, will depart from GD Goenka School via Sushant Golf City.
The fourth edition of Lucknow Run will be organised in the city on November 6. The half marathon is organised every year to spread the message of fitness and good health.
A ‘promo run’ was organised at the Kukrail picnic spot-on Saturday to create awareness about the upcoming half marathon and to connect to as many people as possible.
The promo run gave the participants an opportunity to check their best time for the main run on November 6.
Mr. Sarvesh Goel, promoter of The Centrum, which is organizing the run, said the Lucknow Run would be flagged off from GD Goenka Public School, Sushant Golf City. The Lucknow Run will be organised in four categories – 21.097km and 10km will be timed runs and the other two categories will be 5km and 3km. Runners can register on www.lucknowrun.com to participate in the event.

The grand finale of the beauty pageant Mrs. Uttar Pradesh Queen of Virtu Season 2 was held at The Centrum Hotel. 270 women from different districts of Uttar Pradesh participated in the audition round, out of which 17 women were selected for the final round. Ishika Dwivedi (central) of Sultanpur was elected Mrs. Uttar Pradesh in the competition. Nitika Rana of Gorakhpur became the first runner up and Sheetal Singh of Meerut was selected as the second runner-up. BJP leader Aparna Yadav was the chief guest of the function. Renuka Tandon, Director, Amaram Foundation was the Guest of Honour.

Carrying the mission forward, the Jal Shakti Minister in the Cabinet of Uttar Pradesh Government, Swatantra Dev Singh, visited GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow on September 23, 2022, to administer the oath of water conservation to students and motivate them to join the mission of saving water and supply of potable water to every household.
The Jal Shakti Minister is passionate about the objective of Water Conservation and is driving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Pipe Water Connection to every Household by the year 2024. He addressed the students during the special assembly and all students took the pledge, with him, to save water and conserve it for future generations. In his address to the students, Swatantra Dev Singh encouraged the students to make conscious decisions to reduce water usage so that we can achieve a lower utility bill and a better environment.
He said that together we should make a continued effort to keep water drinkable and affordable for all humans and animals on our planet. On this occasion, the Chairman of the school Mr. Sarvesh Goel also addressed the students and urged them to work towards this cause if we want to sustain life on planet earth and want a better tomorrow. He asked the children to generate awareness among their friends, family members, and neighbours about the mindful usage of water and reducing wastage. He also suggested some ways to save water. The special assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
