Sumit Kumar’s Art Takes Visitors on a Journey to Childhood at The Centrum

The Centrum, Lucknow’s hub for culture and luxury, recently hosted the Nostalgia 0.25 art exhibition, organized by Antarrashtriya Drishti Kala Patrika in collaboration with Kala Deegha. The exhibition featured the latest works of young and dynamic artist Sumit Kumar, known for his evocative storytelling through paintings.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar, who praised Sumit Kumar’s vibrant artistry. “His paintings take us on a journey back to childhood,” he remarked, emphasizing how the art resonated with personal memories and cultural roots.
Prominent attendees included Seema Gupta, Aditi Kumar, Sumit Kumar’s mentor Dr. Awadhesh Mishra, curator Dr. Leena Mishra, and coordinator Dr. Anita Verma. Dr. Mishra noted that each artwork beautifully depicted the legacy of ancestors and daily life, while also showcasing technical excellence and creative innovation.
Dr. Leena Mishra highlighted how Kala Deegha Patrika continues to support emerging artists while honoring established ones. “This exhibition invites visitors to forget the mundane and immerse themselves in a boundless creative world,” she shared.
Hosted at The Centrum’s Kalavithika, the exhibition not only celebrated artistic expression but also reinforced the hotel’s dedication to promoting cultural experiences. The Nostalgia 0.25 exhibition, open until February 19, drew art lovers from across the city, adding yet another vibrant chapter to The Centrum’s cultural calendar.
