The Centrum Hotel Hosts Iconic Residency-Themed Photography Exhibition by Anil Risal Singh

Unveiled on June 1st, the exhibition was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak alongside senior IPS officer Nilabja Chaudhary, actor Dr. Anil Rastogi, and several esteemed guests from the academic and artistic communities. The show features around 30 photographs, each offering a unique interpretation of the Residency—its decayed grandeur, forgotten tales, and enduring spirit.

Singh’s art captures the evocative play of light, shadows, textures, and ruins, echoing the poignant aftermath of the 1857 revolt. Deputy Chief Minister Pathak remarked, “A photographer is like an artist who paints without brush or canvas—risking much with every shot.” His words reflected the admiration and respect for Singh’s ability to bring historical fragments alive through his frame.
