Ice Stock Centers in Lucknow:-

Ice stock centers in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh have now joined the four states in the country which have the infrastructure to practice ice stock, a popular sport in Winter Olympics. Giving this information to reporters here on Monday, President of the Ice stock Association, UP unit, Syed Rafat Zubair said that the sport has now been included in the list of ‘Khelo India’ games. He said that the state government has decided to set up training centres for ice stock in Lucknow and Agra.

He said that currently UP ice stock players have to visit Jammu and Kashmir to undertake training, but soon they would start getting the same facility in the state. He said that they have recently purchased stocks that are used in summers from Germany. Rafat said that the association would organize a state-level summer ice stock tourney to select players for the national championships.

He said that it is a matter of great pride for the state that Aariz Hassan of UP led the Indian side in the world ice stock championships in February Besides, UP players have won several medals in the Khelo India winter championships, he added. Chairman of the association Mr. Sarvesh Goel said that he would try his best to promote ice stock in the state. He also felicitated Aariz Hassan on the occasion. Secretary of the association Kiran Kashyap that now the sports have been included both in the summers and winter games.

MG Motor India installed the Corporate Chargers

MG Motor India installed the first two corporate chargers at The Centrum Hotel in Lucknow, Shaheed Path, and was inaugurated by Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh. The automotive manufacturer plans to install more charging stations in Lucknow. Under the MG Charge initiative, 1000 AC fast chargers will be installed by the automotive manufacturer in residential areas and corporate companies across India in 1000 days. Daya Shankar Singh, Minister of State for Transport, Independent Charge, along with Rajneesh Agarwal and Mr. Sarvesh Goel of Centrum were present on the occasion. Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh said that smart chargers have been installed on behalf of the company, which will save the environment from contamination in the coming times and will realize the dream of Green Lucknow, Green UP.

Actor Anil Kapoor reached Hotel The Centrum in Sushant Golf City, Lucknow. Actors Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Manish Paul starrer ‘Jug Jug Jiyo’ is receiving a lot of praise from fans and the audience. The box office collection of the film ‘Jug Jug Jiyo’ has crossed Rs 100 crore globally. Actors Anil Kapoor and Manish Paul arrived in Lucknow on Monday to celebrate its success. Both the actors also went to Rumi Darwaza.

Actor Anil Kapoor, who reached Hotel The Centrum in Sushant Golf City, said that he has come to Lucknow after a long time. When I came, I had to go to Mayfair Cinema and Tunde Kebab. Chess Ke Khiladi and Umrao Jaan made in Lucknow are one of my favorite movies. I have an old relationship with the rest of UP but have never been able to shoot here. Would love to shoot here. Actor Manish Paul said that I am fortunate to have got a chance to work with stalwarts like Anil Kapoor and Neetu Singh. “Jug Jug Jiyo” is not just a name, but it is actually his blessing on us that we did such a great job. The atmosphere of the set was also family-like. Fitness enthusiasts participated in Doublothon:-

An impressive turnout of fitness enthusiasts at Hindustan’s Doublothon. Fitness enthusiasts participated in Doublothon, organised by Hindustan, the prominent Hindi daily at the Marine Drive in Gomti Nagar on Sunday.

Cycle race and race were the highlights of the event in which fitness freaks, who wore colorful T-shirts and tracksuits, participated in large numbers.

While cyclists wore protective gear while riding bicycles, others simply warm-up exercises by the roadside.

At the Doublothon, aimed at creating awareness among the people about the need to stay fit, some participants were seen doing aerobics. T-shirts were distributed to the participants on behalf of Hindustan.

Lucknow Development Authority vice chairman Indramani Tripathi, chairman of GD Goenka Public School, Sarvesh Goel, DCP (north) Syed Qasim Abdi, ACP Gomtinagar Shweta Srivastava along with several other prominent people were present at the occasion.

Participants came from different parts of the city. For instance, Gayatri along with her son Chanakya and daughter Supriya reached the event from Indiranagar. Alok Kumar, an avid cyclist, arrived for the event, cycling all the way from Sarojini Nagar.

The fitness conscious said they came for the sheer joy of meeting people from different walks of life.

A group exhibition titled E=MC2

An exhibition of budding artists where talent and creativity met:-

A group exhibition titled E=MC2, by final year students of the College of Arts was organized at Kala Srotra Art Gallery, recently. The exhibition had various canvas, fabric paintings, calligraphy, and sculptures from 21 students of the College of Arts. The chief guests of the exhibition were Dr. Ratan Kumar, Principal College of Arts, and Dr. Alok Kumar Kushwaha, an imminent artist.

The title of the exhibition, E-MC2 was based on the famous equation of Albert Einstein. Just like the equation, the exhibition aimed to provide energy and multiply students’ capabilities through guidance and exposure. The exhibition showcased the boundless creative energies of budding artists. The exhibition was curated by Shatrudhan K Gupta and Sanjay Kumar ‘Raj. Prominent artists of the city were also present at the exhibition, namely Anil Risal Singh, Jai Krishna Agarwal, and Shiv Balak Murti, among others.

The artists whose paintings were showcased at the exhibition were Ajay, Amit, Anant, Aparna, Avinash, Deependra, Gargi, Jitendra, Poulomi, and Phool, Pushpanjali, Priya, Rahul, Roopam, Shivani, Shubhankar, Vartika, Vinay, Mahesh, and Priya.

Arpita Dhyani displayed the beauty of the lands of Uttarakhand. “I have tried to showcase the land of myths, magic, and majestic beauty, Uttarakhand. Through my paintings, I want to showcase the emotions, hardships, and the culture of the people of the mountains,” said Arpita about her painting.
